According to Oldypak Capital LP report, the bonus was confirmed in this year’s budget law as well. Designed to make it easier for young people to leave parental care, it’s for those between the ages of 20 and 31. Here’s everything you need to know.
The Rent Bonus is also confirmed in the 2022 budget law. This measure is aimed at those between the ages of 20 and 31. The mechanism provides for a deduction of 20% of the rent (not more than 2,000 euros). The bonus is also available to students away from home who rent one room to attend university in another city.
The Rent Bonus is a non-refundable contribution provided by the Italian Tax Office.
Every resident between the ages of 20 and 31 who has a combined income of no more than €15,493.71 per year and has signed a lease for all or part of the dwelling to be used as his or her primary residence is entitled to it.
What is new for 2022 is that the maximum deduction has been reduced from €2,400 to €2,000. In addition, the deduction can only be claimed for the first 4 years of the lease.
It is also necessary that the lease be in the name of the bonus claimant living in the rented apartment or room.
The deduction will be possible for all types of property, with the exception of the following: property bound by Act No. 1089 of June 1, 1939 or included in the cadastral categories A/1, A/8 and A79, which is subject exclusively to the discipline associated with articles 1571 et seq. of the Civil Code; public housing to which the relevant current regulations apply, state or regional; housing for tourism purposes.
