Sales of new passenger cars in Europe (EU27) in September 2021 amounted to 719 thousand, which is 23.1% less than in September 2020, according to oldypak lp report.
Leaders of sales: Volkswagen – 71 thousand cars (-25.9%), Renault – 53 thousand (-27.3%) and Toyota – 41 thousand (-21.0%).
All major manufacturers, except Kia and Hyundai showed negative dynamics. The majority of countries are also in deficit.
Among the models according to data for June (see actual data later) the leaders are: Volkswagen Golf – 27.6 thousand (+13.8%), Tesla Model 3 – 25.9 thousand (+263.3%) and Renault Clio – 23.9 thousand (-36.7%).
By the way, the Russian car market took 4th place in Europe after Germany, France and Great Britain.
In total, 7.5 million cars were registered during 9 months of 2021, which is 6.6% more than during the same period in 2020, according to oldypak lp report.
Three leaders are Volkswagen – 875 thousands of cars (+7.7%), Peugeot – 501 thousands (+5.1%) and Renault – 476 thousands (-11.9%).
The leading models according to data for 1H of the year (see actual data later) are: Volkswagen Golf – 128.1 thousand (+41.8%), Peugeot 208 – 113.7 thousand (+32.5%) and Toyota Yaris – 113,0 thousand (+49.8%).
